Our communities are stronger when every child has the care and education necessary to prepare them for a productive and fulfilling life. In San Bernardino County, over 400 preschool teachers care for thousands of our most vulnerable children. Because these teachers are paid so little, turnover is alarmingly high, and children do not receive the stability necessary for them to thrive. San Bernardino County must commit to providing the care these children need, which starts with retaining high-quality teachers.
