Relief Committee – Teamsters helping Teamsters

Teamsters have a long history of supporting one another, not just in the workplace but outside the workplace as well. Teamsters realize that harm to one is harm to all. When a member encounters a struggle inside or outside the workplace they are not alone in those struggles, and that’s what it means to be a brother and a sister in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Teamsters Local 1932 has long had a member emergency fund, with money raised at an annual golf charity event (reach out to Beth Zendejas at bzendejas@teamsters1932.org for information on the member emergency fund). That being said, we know our members sometimes just need the support of one another beyond financial assistance, such as providing a nice meal for a member and their family or just lending a helping hand in the daily life of one another. Members of the Teamsters Local 1932 Women’s Committee created the Relief Committee to help better coordinate those efforts.

If you’d like to help out a fellow brother or sister, please feel free to click on any of the meal train links below to view a calendar of what is available. We thank you in advance for your support and for helping us lift one another up in a time of need — this is what truly makes this country great.
