Teamsters Local 1932 Celebrates May Day!

Teamsters Local 1932 proudly joins workers across the globe in celebrating May Day — International Workers’ Day, a moment to honor the victories of the labor movement and recommit ourselves to the fight for dignity, justice, and respect for all workers.

From the Haymarket Affair of 1886 to the modern-day struggles for fair wages, safe workplaces, and union rights, May Day stands as a symbol of worker solidarity and the power of collective action.

There’s no sugarcoating it- right now are tough times for labor. But it reminds us that in the labor movement, we cannot depend on government entities or politicians to save us. We can only rely on ourselves and continue to build worker power so that when the time is right, we can withhold our labor for fair contracts.

“May Day reminds us that nothing in the workplace was ever given — it was won. Our rights, our protections, and our voice were earned through struggle, and we must protect them by organizing forward,” said Randy Korgan, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 1932.

“The future belongs to working people who rise together. That’s what May Day is all about.”

As we continue to expand union power across the Inland Empire and beyond, Teamsters Local 1932 remains committed to building a future where every worker has a voice and no worker is left behind.

Happy International Workers’ Day — Union Strong, Always.
