Shred-It/ Stericycle Secure First Teamster Contract!

San Bernardino, CA- Workers at Shred-it/Stericycle have officially ratified their first Teamsters contract, marking a major victory in the fight for dignity, fair pay, and respect on the job. The new agreement delivers significant improvements in wages, paid sick leave, and workplace protections, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a paid holiday.

This hard-fought contract is more than a piece of paper — it’s a life-changing step forward for workers who were previously taken advantage of by Corporate America.

“The journey was tough, but together we were able to get a contract. This contract proved to us that when we unite, we can accomplish what Stericycle has denied us for a long time. I’m so proud of our unit that stuck together and persevered,” said Paul Aguilar, Shred-It driver.

“This is what Teamsters Local 1932 is all about,” said Randy Korgan, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 1932. “We are transforming the lives of working people because we know we can’t trust corporate America to do it. When workers organize, they win.”

From securing stronger economic provisions to ensuring basic dignity in the workplace, this first contract sets a powerful precedent for others in the private sector looking to take control of their future through union representation.

Teamsters Local 1932 remains committed to organizing across the Inland Empire, continuing to raise standards and build worker power—one contract at a time.
