San Bernardino Teamsters Ratify Contract

San Bernardino, CA- Teamsters Local 1932 members working for the City of San Bernardino have overwhelmingly ratified a new 3-year contract that delivers major gains and solidifies critical protections for the working families who keep the city running every day, delivering quality public service for San Bernardino residents.

Under the new agreement, Local 1932 members:

  • Protect 100 percent of their current medical benefits with no takeaways.
  • Secure hazard-pay language for emergency response and extraordinary duty situations.
  • Secured a retiree medical component—a crucial lifeline for long-serving employees.
  • Achieve significant across-the-board wage increases and equity adjustments that recognize the rising cost of living.
  • Win improvements in overtime rules, vacation scheduling, safety provisions, and more.

“At a time when corporate America is hammering down on workers across the nation, Teamsters Local 1932 continues to raise standards and protect our members,” said Randy Korgan, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 1932. “This contract shows what is possible when working people stand together, bargain hard, and refuse to settle for less than they deserve.”

“We went into these negotiations with a clear vision, and we came out stronger,” said David Lamas, San Bernardino Teamsters Shop Steward. “Our coworkers made it clear what mattered most: fair pay, strong benefits, and respect on the job. We fought hard for these wins, and we are proud of that. This contract is a big win for all of us who take pride in serving the City of San Bernardino.”

Teamsters Local 1932, representing over 16,000 workers across the Inland Empire, remains committed to transforming the region by defending worker rights and elevating living standards for all.
