Local 1932 Welcomes New Business Agent: Barbara Whittington

On September 5, Local 1932 welcomed Barbara Whittington into our Union as its newest Business Agent.

Whittington, originally from Arizona, has over 18 years experience as a San Bernardino County employee, all at the Transitional Assistance Department — first in the High Desert, and more recently in the City of San Bernardino.

She was the first recipient of our Union’s Member Power Award in May 2017 for her commitment to Local 1932’s vision for a transformed San Bernardino County, as well as her productive time as Steward, and her constant presence at all Union training sessions. She hopes to further help build our Union with unrelenting effort in her new position.
