CONFIRE Teamsters Secure Strong 3-Year Contract with Major Gains
San Bernardino, CA — Teamsters Local 1932 is proud to announce that the members of the newly organized CONFIRE Emergency Services Unit have overwhelmingly secured a new three-year contract that delivers significant improvements to wages, benefits, and working conditions for the dedicated professionals who keep our community safe.
The new agreement includes:
- 10.5% in salary increases over three years
- Increases to Center Accreditation Bonus, Night Shift Differential, and Uniform Allowance
- A new Top Step added to the wage scale
- Teamster Active and Retiree Health Components secured for the first time
“These gains are a direct result of workers standing united through their union,” said Randy Korgan, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 1932. “CONFIRE Emergency Service Unit members play a critical role in emergency medical and fire response across the region, and this contract reflects the value of their service and commitment to the public.”
“We worked hard to make sure that my Co-workers and I received a contract offer that is fair and equitable.” Said Otto Schramm, Teamster Steward and CONFIRE Emergency Services Unit Dispatch Supervisor.
“After only hearing how great it is to be a Teamster, I’m happy that our group has decided to join Teamsters Local 1932. Now that we have our first contract under our Teamster union, I’m even more excited for what the future holds.” Said Diane Charlton, CONFIRE Emergency Services Unit Dispatcher.
With this new agreement, CONFIRE Emergency Services Unit Teamsters will see meaningful improvements to their pay, recognition, and healthcare security, setting a strong foundation for the years ahead.
