Colton Teamsters Secure Contract
CITY OF COLTON TEAMSTERS
SECURE STRONG CONTRACT
COLTON, CA — Teamsters Local 1932 members employed by the City of Colton have secured a new contract that protects their healthcare, provides meaningful pay increases and recognizes the essential work they perform for the community.
The agreement was reached after months of negotiations and continued workplace unity among City of Colton Teamsters. On June 9th, 2026, Colton Teamsters launched a practice picket line and were joined by elected officials, community members, small businesses, and other Teamster members. The June 9th action proved that when Teamsters fight, Teamsters win.
The contract includes wage increases designed to better reflect employees’ hard work, experience and commitment to serving Colton residents.
“This agreement represents an important step forward for the hardworking public employees who keep the City of Colton running,” said Randy Korgan, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 1932. “Our members stood together and made it clear that their service, experience and dedication deserve to be respected. Public Sector Teamsters are becoming more militant than ever seen before. They are willing to fight to protects their families’ healthcare and to be respected by their employer.”
City of Colton Teamsters provide critical public services that residents rely on every day. Their work helps maintain city infrastructure, protect public spaces, support local operations and ensure that essential services are delivered safely and efficiently.
Throughout negotiations, members remained united in calling for a contract that addressed the rising cost of living, preserved access to quality healthcare and helped the city recruit and retain experienced public employees.
“This contract is a direct result of our members’ strength and solidarity,” said James Herrera, Steward for Teamsters Local 1932. “We stood together because we understand the value of the services we provide. By remaining united throughout negotiations, we secured an agreement that protects our healthcare, increases our pay and gives hardworking employees the respect and recognition they deserve.”
